Q. What's the status of the school's accreditation? How does not being accredited affect the students' ability to get into colleges?
A. In the United States, there is no federal government list of recognized accreditation agencies for primary and secondary schools like there is for higher education. Public schools must adhere to criteria set by the state governments, and there is wide variation among the individual states in the requirements applied to non-public primary and secondary schools. The Florida Department of Education does not accredit, regulate, approve, or license K-12 private schools. Additionally, the Florida Department of Education does not officially recognize any of the various agencies that accredit private schools.
Section 1002.42, Florida Statutes, requires K-12 private schools to register with the Florida Department of Education by completing an annual survey and explicitly provides that submitting annual survey data and being listed in the directory of private schools should not be used by any private school to imply approval or accreditation by the state. Each year Windsor Christian Academy submits an annual survey with the Florida Department of Education, along with documentation attesting to our financial solvency, administration, staffing, program, facility, student records, health, safety and welfare of students, and Florida scholarship program participation. We are listed in the Florida Department of Education Directory of Private Schools.
There are many organizations with widely varying quality standards and program requirements that accredit private schools. The acceptance of diplomas from private schools is subject to the requirements of the receiving educational institution or employer. Windsor Christian Academy is not a member of an accrediting organization. However, our graduates have been accepted at colleges in Florida. Several of our graduates have then transferred from Santa Fe College to universities, both in Florida and in other states. If you have questions as to whether your child will be accepted by a particular college, we advise you to contact the admissions office of that institution before your child begins high school.
Q. What are Windsor Christian Academy's qualifications for teachers?
A. Our most important qualifications for working with children at Windsor Christian Academy are spiritual in nature:
Q. Did the majority of the seniors have the necessary grades/SAT scores to apply to the bigger colleges?

We are not just a Sunday school class that meets all week long. We believe that God has called us to the grand task of helping students be everything that God has created them to be. We believe the verse from the book of Ecclesiastes that says, "Whatever your hand finds to do, do it mightily." This includes academics.

Q. What are Windsor Christian Academy's qualifications for teachers?
A. Our most important qualifications for working with children at Windsor Christian Academy are spiritual in nature:
- The staff member must be a professing believer, who has been baptized since his or her salvation as a testimony of that salvation (Acts 2:38).
- The staff member should be obviously striving to walk in the Spirit (Galatians 5:16, 22-26). What we are talking about is the Christian life. Here, the question is not, "When did you get saved?" but "Are you modeling the Christ-life and is there fruit in your life as evidence of your yielding to the Holy Spirit every day for the students that you are helping?" It is impossible to detail everything that is entailed in this humble, Spirit-filled life for every person (Matthew 18). But what we are saying is that the person's whole life, both on and off campus, matters to us because of the eternal responsibility of being an example to our students. In an age in which many are inclined to say, "What I do at home is no business of yours," this concern for the teacher's life both on and off campus may seem a bit out of date. We offer no apologies for this.
- The staff member must be in church for the Sunday and mid-week services of their church every week. We are sticklers on church attendance. We will not be in the situation of the leadership telling the students that they need to be in church; and then have teachers not living up to that.
- Three or more years of public and/or private school teaching
- Special skills, knowledge, or expertise that qualifies them to provide instruction in subjects taught
- Baccalaureate Degree or higher
